Purple Theory Records is thrilled to present CODENAME PURPLE, a stunning collaborative album produced and performed by the dynamic Oslo based duo DRAAGEN (Sigurd Drågen) and DUMMY THICC (Sigmund Vestrheim). CODENAME PURPLE will be a fresh addition to the world of instrumental jazzy lofi beats, featuring a fusion of punchy drums, lush brass melodies, captivating synths, groovy bass lines and top-class improvisational solos.

DRAAGEN and DUMMY THICC, both highly skilled and promising musicians and producers, have previously showcased their talent through various projects including Giddygang, Blåsemafian, Aurora, and boy pablo. Their eclectic backgrounds and diverse musical experiences have greatly influenced the rich and vibrant soundscape of CODENAME PURPLE. Drawing inspiration from instrumental hip hop, R&B, and jazz, the album will captivate listeners with its unique blend of musical influences and styles.

The duo has also invited several highly skilled guest instrumentalists from the local music scene to join their project. Their contributions have added depth and dimension to the album, elevating the overall musical experience. Additionally, the album features a special collaboration with the talented rapper Vuyo on the track "Can I Kick It Like That?", which further amplifies the diverse and dynamic nature of the project.
